So just wanted to warn others because I got scammed today. About 2 weeks ago I paid PDFguru.com about 132 ksh to help me remove password-protection from a PDF file. I didn't think much of it, although I will say that they didn't even manage to help me modify the password-protected PDF file, but I was like whatever.
Then today they deducted 6700 ksh out of nowhere from my credit card without my permission. I didn't agree to subscribe to any kind of service, it was apparently a hidden subscription that you're automatically subscribed to (without your knowledge) when paying them 132 ksh. It's of course bullshit to have to pay some stupid online service to modify PDF files (which can definitely be done for free), but now it seems most of these services are also scammers.
